Boredom at Work

Boredom at work isn’t just restricted to the factory floor assembly line or supermarket checkout worker. In today’s ever increasingly stressful work environment the information overload and bureaucracy is creating a boom in work place boredom.

Contrary to popular belief boredom is not the result of having nothing to do. It is quite simply the fact that the possible things a person can realistically do, do not appeal to them.

Like all emotions boredom is likely to have a function. It’s main purpose is probably to alert us that not all is well and something must be done.
